"Survivor" is only 40 days!!
As I sit here watching Survivor:Vanuatu, I am realizing how long 2 years sounds as opposed to the 40 days that these crazy folks seem to be agonizing over. What the heck am I getting into here??! Ahh!! My dad just told me that he purchased a short wave radio and a headlamp for me. Both are things I never thought I would be asking for and definitely didn't think I would be excited to receive. A little more than a month from today, I will be departing for Zambia and I decided to create this blog at the urging of my friend Ruby (who has her own too) and figured it would be a great way for everyone to see what I am doing as I wander the globe :) I will be a great candidate for Survivor when I return from Africa...

Hey, it is definitely a good idea. Maybe you can use this site as your daily journal. You post your daily life here and we'll know what you are doing there. Anytime you need help, just write HELP in big letters and next thing you know is that we are there in Africa to rescue you. :)
